I Graduated!

On
Friday, 29 July 2016

Wow, what a month, the beginning of which started with my graduation. It was such an amazing day; my parents, grandparents, sisters and boyfriend all came along to the ceremony, we took a tonne of photos, ate lots of food, drank lots of alcohol, then headed back to celebrate with the rest of the family. It was a long day and, despite my constant worry that something would go wrong, everything was fine - I guess I will now be prepared for my graduation next year too.

The best news though was that I graduated not only with a 1st in English Language and Literature, but the fact that I had the highest overall grades and therefore won the 'Best Overall Student' prize! How crazy is that?!

Just to add the cherry on top, I also got a letter of acceptance this month onto a masters course at university. I'm going back in October to study Human Resource Management which is pretty exciting. I've already started the reading and my student finance is all set! #prepared

Officially a graduate!

The Summer That Never Was

Roker Beach, Sunderland

Where has the sun gone? It's almost September and I can honestly count on one hand the amount of sunny "summer" days we've had this year. It's so disappointing.

By the end of next month I will be in my third - and final - year of university and I'm nervous excited. I have my dissertation I need to start soon (wish me luck) and an extra module to take on top of all my others (wish me double luck). The time has flew by since I've been at uni, and while I do love my course, I can't help but look forward to the future when I go into the real world and get myself a proper job, and eventually my own place (oh, how I'm looking forward to that!).

Happy Halloween!

Warner Bro’s Studio Tour, Studio Tour Drive, Hertfordshire

Happy Halloween!

Around this time last year, I visited the Harry Potter Warner Bro’s Studio Tour for the first time. It was amazing, breath taking and of course magic. It was honestly so fascinating seeing how everything is made and produced from small little props or green screens to what you actually see on the screen. I have to admit, it was a ‘big spoiler’ but it was also just so incredible, I think I walked around pointing at everything with my mouth hanging open. I honestly can’t praise the Warner Bro’s Studio Tour enough, I’ve been back again since and both times have been just as magical. I very strongly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance, it is literally an experience you will never forget.

Sister's 11th Birthday Snippets

Sister's 11th birthday!

Yesterday we celebrated my youngest sister's 11th birthday with a small family get together. I honestly can't believe she is 11 already! We hired a bouncy castle and made (and ate) loads of cakes. I took quite a few photos of my sister and cousins but because my blog is my own little project, I'm not sure how people would feel about me posting their photos on the internet, and thus, I have only included the boring photos (sorry!). As you can tell, there was a lot of 1D going on. At least 3 cards had their faces plastered on them, Midnight Memories was on all night and you couldn't even escape them at the buffet table!
